Dalmilling Parish Church was built in the mid 1950s to serve the surrounding housing development on the outskirts of Ayr.

Officially opened for worship in 1781 as a chapel of ease, the church was originally a rectangular building. The bellcote was added in 1836.

Originally known as Trinity Church, St Columba was dedicated in 1902. Built of red sandstone to designs by John B Wilson of Glasgow.

The octagonal castellated stage of the tower and the sharp spire were added in 1868. Edwardian Art Nouveau patterned stained glass in all windows.

Congregation formed by the union of Erskine and Landsborough Trinity Churches in 1993. The former Erskine Church buildings of 1866 are used.
