Church Overview

Charming church, built as a chapel of ease in 1792, financed by Sir Claud Alexander of Ballochmyle. It was established as a parish church when Catrine was made a quoad sacra parish in 1871. The church is dignified by refined classical details and a central pediment topped with the belfry. Major renovations in 1874, 1960, 1992 and 2003. Stained glass. Harrison & Harrison pipe organ, 1883. Overlooking Catrine in the River Ayr valley.
