St Modan’s Parish Church, Rosneath

There have been at least four churches on this site, the earliest reputed to be one of the oldest churches in Scotland. There is evidence of a second church built around the 12th century. In the 16th century a third church was built, cruciform in shape.

St Maur’s Glencairn Parish Church, Kilmaurs

The present church building (this has been a Christian site since AD868), which had a major reconstruction in 1888, is Cruciform in shape, with fine stained glass & the Glencairn aisle has important connections to Robert Burns.
