Cruciform church of nave, chancel & transepts by Goodhart-Rendel, Broadbent & Curtis, 1959-60 with a double belfry and square porch.

The church stands at the top of the main street of the pretty village of Gifford and is a significant feature of the townscape. Altered in 1830.

The present church, built in 1640, replaced the historic ‘St Mary’s of the Lowes’ or ‘The Forest Kirk’, dating from the 12th century.
