Church Overview

Built 1887-8 as a chapel of ease to accommodate the Church of Scotland congregation of upper Glencairn, it was designed by English architect William West Neve. Constructed of local whinstone, it is a simple Gothic building with a narrow nave and side aisles.

A continuous clerestory, of six bays separated by timbers, containing tinted glass and original opening mechanisms, light the entire sanctuary. A kitchen was added in 1968 and further major improvements to the building were carried out 2006-8.
