Church Overview

Romanesque style church designed by Pugin and Pugin and opened in 1911. Rich interior with marble altar and reredos. Stained glass windows above the sanctuary by Hardman, representing St John the Evangelist and St Margaret of Scotland, and above the gallery depicting the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, St Peter, St Andrew, St Helen and St Sylvester. Mosaic of 1961 of Christ Triumphant above the altar. Organ by Forster & Andrews, built 1895 for Alva Parish Church and installed 1983. Stations of the Cross by Beyeart.
