Church Overview

Oblong barn-like building, built 1846, with part-piended roof of local flagstone slates. Original pulpit with canopy, topped by a dove. Whole building refurbished in 2002/03. Renewable energy (ground-source heat pump and wind turbine) to meet energy needs. Pipe organ by Solway Organs 1967. Westray Parish Kirk is a Fairtrade Church and winner of four Eco-Congregation awards.
