Church Overview
This building dates from 1974-75 when it was built as a church plant from the Dunfermline town centre, where St Margaret’s Parish Church on East Port had been established in 1825. The East Port church building was demolished in 1981 to make way for an office block.
Located in the heart of the Touch housing estate, with its pitched flat roof and striking timber and steel bell tower, the multi-functional church is typical of its age. It possesses two large stained glass windows – one of St Margaret (donated by their “Young Wives” group) the other of a large Celtic cross.
Other modern stained glass was brought to the church after the Convent of St Mary Reparatrice at Elie House closed in 2000.
