Church Overview

Opened May 1916, architect W J Walker Todd (firm Todd and Miller, Edinburgh).  A Hall, now demolished, added in 1930s.  Major restructuring in 1998 when the hall was sold and the area adjoining the church was converted into a new one.  At the same time the church was altered so that it can now be used as a public space with the Chancel closed off when not is use for services (architect Michael Henderson of Dick Peddie and McKay).  Triptych of Christ between the Virgin Mary and St John by Mabel Dawson RSW, SSA (died 1965).  Bell from the steamship Oriana.  recent renovations to the Church thanks to The Landfill Trust.
