Church Overview
The parish was founded in 1948 and the church was completed and opened in 1952. The church is traditional in design with harled walls and a slate roof. It has undergone several renovations inside to accommodate liturgical changes. New church furnishings designed by J McNally, made by a local craftsman. The west wall is dominated by the large stained glass window, 1985, designed by Shona McInnes. The overall theme of the window is “I am the Bread of Life” so appropriate to the Corpus Christi. The round panel at the top is a celebration of the Holy Eucharist, while the panels beneath the feature the remaining Sacraments.
