Congregation formed by the union of Erskine and Landsborough Trinity Churches in 1993. The former Erskine Church buildings of 1866 are used.

The octagonal castellated stage of the tower and the sharp spire were added in 1868. Edwardian Art Nouveau patterned stained glass in all windows.

Officially opened for worship in 1781 as a chapel of ease, the church was originally a rectangular building. The bellcote was added in 1836.

Parliamentary church designed by William Thompson, 1829 with Tudor windows and pinnacled bellcote. In 1993 a new vestibule was added.

There has been a church here since 1140; the churches of Applegarth and Sibbaldie United in 1609, and with Johnstone in 2004.
