Church Overview
The present Radnor Park Parish Church was built in 1969-70 to replace an earlier church destroyed by fire. The church was designed by the Glasgow architectural firm of King, Main & Ellison. It was described in the local Buildings of Scotland volume as “plain yet elegant”.
Its walls of buff brick carry an inverted pitched roof and the spacious brick-lined interior is topped by a pine-boarded ceiling. The octagonal pulpit and communion table were designed by the architects.
The building was closed during a programme of nationwide rationalisation of its building portfolio by the Church of Scotland. It held its final service in July 2024.
