Church Overview

The harled church was built in 1776. Pennant in his Voyage to the Hebrides (1776) says ‘land in Jura, at a little village, and see to the right on the shore the church, and the minister’s manse’. Alterations 1842 and 1922. Superb photographic exhibition of ‘Old Jura’ in an upper gallery reached by an external stair behind the church.
