Church Overview

Medieval church, became collegiate in 1406. Medieval nave and transepts restored in 1854 by David Bryce. James, 1st Earl of Morton, and his wife Princess Joanna (the profoundly deaf third daughter of James I) are buried within the choir, c.1498. Memorial monument with their effigies mark the burial site. Organ by Binns 1906, chamber organ by Bruce, 1824.
